So, this is my third blog. It's about "A good man is hard to find", by Flanney O'Conner. My take on this story is that it was kind of suspenseful with a little twist. The grandmother made me real frustrated, what with all her nagging. It's like she just couldn't enjoy the life she was living. Maybe she just couldn't face the fact that she was older and wasn't able to just take drives to Tennessee anymore. The family goes on this road trip vacation and the grandmother can't stand anyone to be happy but herself. How she had kids and lived like that, I DON'T KNOW. But instead of going to the place they intended, they just had to give grandma her way. Recently, where the Grandma wanted to go, a "misfit" escaped form jail. So, the misfit ended up killing them on the side of the road. The grandma pleaded for her life but the "misfit" shot her just like her family. I honestly don't think that the "misfit" felt bad because he was, deep down, a cold-hearted killer just looking for the adrenaline rush.
Discussing this story in class was pretty interesting too. Pretty much everyone was annoyed with the grandmother. Also, pretty much everyone believed that it was completely the grandmothers fault.

YELLO MELLO
This post is in response to the reading ''The Yellow Wallpaper." While reading this story I got really weirded out! This woman had a baby and then was suffering with separation anxiety. Postpartum depression disorder is what it's called. Then her husband didn't want to deal with her freaking out and acting all manic like. So he locked her in a room! He shows zero sympathy, zero caring, zero kindness. Just slam! and locks the door. This woman sat in this empty room that had yellow wallpaper for who knows how long. She mysteriously started seeing a woman behind bars in the walls. Of course she was going crazy. People go insane when they stare at nothing i'm guessing. The woman behind the bars in the story probably symbolizes woman feeling as small as possible. They feel like they are in a jail. They feel like they are robots and their husband, or the ''male'' figure, has the REMOTE to them...like the Stepford Wives. So, this woman went crazy. Then strange enough, as if it was going to end there, she mysteriously has some rope. Her husband hears a ruckus in the room and tries to get in. She hid the key outside though! How did she even get outside?? Well her husband opens the door and FAINTS. Right there, he just faints. The really creepy part is that the story says the as he lay there, she continued to creep over him. Does that mean that her dead body was swinging over him?! How freaky is that! This story was different and strange. I wish the ending wasn't so creepy. I wish it was straight forward though and that people could know what happened to the baby, the woman, and the man.. and JANE. Who was Jane? A mistress? Very confusing but healthy story for your brain! Use your mind to twist it and flatten it out :)
The End.
The End.

LONE RANGAA
So, this is my first blog ever! This blog is in response to the reading "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven." This guy lived on a reservation. He is an Indian and used to live on the Spokane reservation. He is trying to find his place in this world.. I feel like he drank his sorrows away from failed chances and his relationship fell to pieces because he was depressed. He is way more independent than he knows. But, he also has a dependency on others to always be there for him. His family knows him better than he thinks and his girlfriend is just one of those frustrated girls. While Mr. Indian was at 7-11 he tried to relate himself to the cashier in a way... Mr. Indian is an overthinker... Overthinking lead him to zero progress. He thought he was the best at basketball. All the others thought he was, so he took it in as one of his good qualities.
You know that saying... "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Almost everyone knows that saying. This saying is not true :) Mr. Indian knew that words HIT you where it hurts the most. They hit you like Muhammed Ali's fist. He says geniuses know exactly what to say to hit you like a fist.. and his girlfriend did just that. This guy "Mr. Indian" is moving along. That's all that he can do. It seems as if he doesnt even want to try at all, but that he just feels the need to keep moving. At times, enjoying life and other times feeling miserable. But, he keeps moving and thats how he gets by... getting that Creamsicle in the middle of the night. Whatever helps, HELPS. He wants life to just flow for him. So he rides his float down the Wavy River and when he hits a bump that stops the flow.. he just gets that " Creamsicle ", picks up his float, and gets back on the river.
THE END!
